#GivingTuesday offers a very welcome respite from the excesses of consumerism and the hyper-hype of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. For nonprofit organizations that rely on fundraising, it provides a wonderful once-a-year opportunity to raise awareness of their cause as well as raising much-needed funds. Many organizations use it as a launching point for their end of year fundraising campaigns too.
As a #GivingTuesday partner, we enjoyed the opportunity to spread the word via social media on the actual day and also participate in the event by providing gifts of our own. We provided our nonprofit customers with some practical support by offering a custom webinar and motivation beforehand with tips on how to maximize #GivingTuesday opportunities.
So it is with great pride and pleasure that we can report that this year on #GivingTuesday our Abila Fundraising Online users accomplished some amazing results. We saw over a 530 percent increase in transaction volume over the Fundraising Online GivingTuesday 2012 totals. That is truly amazing! So needless to say, the second annual #GivingTuesday campaign was a hit for our customers.
We encourage everyone to keep this good thing going beyond GivingTuesday and continue to give generously. The holidays always make for an opportune time to help out your favorite charities through giving. We all know, every little bit helps.
